DEAD BODY OF FATHER OF TWO WHOM DROWNED AS A RESULT OF COMMUNITY CLASH FOUND IN ESCRAVOS RIVER

The lifeless body of
a certain Mr Samuel
mayomi,whom drowned
on August 22,in the
escravos river,has been
found in the same river

He died as result of
communal crises
rocking the oil-rich
riverine area-ugborodo
community,warri south
west  council area of
delta state

according to ugborodo
community management
committee,(ucmc) led by
Barr. Austin oborogbeyi,
Dr ayo ayomike & Mr Mike
Aturokoh during a press
briefing,stated the incident
happen as the victim
and other local indigenes
were being ferried to
the community for a
meeting,and were attacked
by a armed team led
by a certain jolomi
metseagharun and ofe
pender Nene



then one of the attackers
boat rammed into theirs
and sank it taking away
5 hostages,unfortunately
in the process,Mr Samuel
fell into the river and
drowned,while another
man Mr Benson okoturoh
died from shock of the
sporadic shooting by the
attackers

the ucmc then called on
relevant authority to
investigate the matter
thoroughly and bring
perpetrators of the
dastard act to book
